Carbohydrates and carbohydrate-containing complexes as a factor of the functional specialization of the structure, properties, modifications and functions of plant polysaccharides and their complexes

  • structural and functional diversity of pectins;
  • the role of polysaccharides and carbohydrate-containing complexes in the functioning of mechanical tissues;
  • physical and mechanical properties of polysaccharides and their complexes, the role in the functional specialization of plant cells.

Molecular-genetic basis of the formation and functioning of the plant cell walls

  • molecular-genetic regulation of the formation and modification of the plant cell walls;
  • protein-carbohydrate interactions, functions of plant CAZYs;
  • mechanisms of the gravitropic reaction realized by plant fibers with a tertiary cell wall.

Functioning mechanisms of collenchyma and sclerenchyma as mechanical tissues

The role of protein glycosylation in plant cells

  • glycoproteomes in the cells with different functions;
  • molecular mechanisms of protein glycosylation in the cells with different functions;
  • changes in the ultrastructure and dynamics of subcellular structures, caused by the modulation of various stages of protein N-glycosylation.
